Mackinac Island is the "resort" island of the State of
Michigan. No powered vehicles are allowed so the only
transportation is by bicycle, horse-drawn carriage, and on
foot. It is home to the most frequented marina in Michigan,
the fabled Grand Hotel built in the turn of the century,
and the historical Fort Mackinac. Most of the island is a
State Park.
